Conditions of Appointment: Position is an academic year tenure-track appointment. Applicants must be considered for tenure and promotion in six years although tenure decisions may be at any time. Major responsibilities include: (1) teaching educational technology courses to pre and inservice teachers, 2) teaching other undergraduate or master's courses that may be field-based, 3) maintaining an active research and publication agenda, 4) supervising interns and advising, supervising and serving on master's theses and doctoral dissertations, 5) serving on university committees and other service activities.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction or related area with an emphasis in educational technology. A demonstrated record of research, scholarly publications and grant writing or a clear indication of potential for success in these areas is required. Also required are excellent English oral communication skills and a minimum of three years of U.S. public school teaching experience. Candidates must show evidence of substantial course work in educational technology applicable to Pre-K-12 learners. Exceptional doctoral candidates who are ABD will receive consideration.

Responsibilities: Teach educational technology courses ranging from undergraduate foundational skills through specialized graduate courses. The major portion of this individual's course load will be delivered online as a part of our fully web-based graduate program which leads to both advanced degrees and teaching endorsement in Instructional Computer Technology.
Qualifications: Doctorate in instructional/educational technology or closely related field. ABDs with imminent completion may be considered.
Desired Qualifications: Experience working in public schools as a teacher, instructional designer, or technology specialist is highly desired. Record of university teaching service, and scholarly productivity. Teaching and/or research experience in one or two of the areas of multimedia, online teaching and learning, educational games, curriculum design, or instructional design. Knowledge of trends in educational technology, instructional design, instruction via distance learning, and grant writing.
