Action Research Breakdown`
Here is my action research proposal. I am sorry I didn't send it to you. I didn't realize it was supposed to be sent to our second placement liaisons and Dr. Sapp didn't remind us of that. Let me know if you need anything else!

D. Limit on-line programs to north central West Virginia; cap course enrollment; Geographically limit student enrollment to facilitate stronger field and clinical components
NOT LOOKING THE STUDENTS ONLINE IS NOT THAT DIFFERENT THAN NOT LOOKING AT THEM F2F
USE SOME OF THE GOLDEN EGGS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO CLINICAL SUPERVISION, DON’T KILL THE GOOSE THAT IS LAYING THEM.
IV. Faculty Work Load Issues It only affects 2 people and they or admin are the only ones who should vote on issues that impacts faculty wallets.
A. Limit class size for graduate courses WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT THIS? YOU CANNOT NO YOU DON’T KILL THE GOOSE. THIS KILLS THE DRAFT ON LOAD BELOW.
B. Limit faculty workload to allow for more faculty scholarship (3/3) NO, YOU DON’T HAVE THE RESOURCES, WHAT SCHOLARSHIP?
C. Hire more graduate faculty to meet teaching needs; divide teaching loads equitably; reverse the trend of using adjuncts/overloads. WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT THIS? YOU CANNOT HIRE ANYONE ELSE!
Supplemental Pay Plan (is this better than the overload cash cow of yesteryear?)
| Enrollment | Instructor Pay |
| 25 or fewer | Base section pay |
| 26 – 30 | $200 per student for each additional student over 25 |
| 31 – 35 | $175 per student for each student between 31 – 35 |
| 36 – 40 | $150 per student for each between 36 – 40 |
| 41 – 45 | $125 per student for each between 41 -- 44 |
Graduate Teaching Load Scenario
IF YOU DON"T HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO TEACH THE CLASSES TO BEGIN WITH, HOW DOES THE QUESTION OF LOAD OR RELEASE TIME COME UP?
DRAFT STRUCTURE
| # Graduate Courses per Year | Course Credit Hour Load | Credit Hours |
| 6 | 18 Graduate | 18 |
| 5 | 15 Graduate and 3 UG | 18 |
| 4 | 12 Graduate and 9 Undergraduate | 21 |
| 3 | 9 Graduate and 12 Undergraduate | 21 |
| 2 | 6 Graduate and 18 Undergraduate | 24 |
| 1 | 3 Graduate and 21 Undergraduate | 24 |
| 0 | 0 Graduate and 24 Undergraduate | 24 |
Note: Under any circumstances (not including contractual courses releases) a faculty member would be expected to teach at least 18 combined credit hours in the fall/spring semesters.
Note: There will have to be some restriction related to section enrollment. A low enrollment course (e.g. less than 12) would not count as a “graduate” course” for load purposes.
